The formal application requirements for the PREL Program in Economics are:

1) Application form
2) Two recommendation letters
3) Ranking certificate completed by the home university.
4) Transcripts, indicating the scale (maximum, minimum, and passing grades). The transcripts must cover the entire three years of study, and must be properly legalized by the Chilean Consulate in the applicant's home country.
5) Resume
6) A digital photograph with full name and the ID or passport number, to be sent to ; or six color paper photographs (3x3 cm), with full name and the ID or passport's number.
7) A passport's photocopy

Application fee:

The application fee is $45,000 (forty and five thousands Chilean pesos) or US$80 (eighty American dollars). This amount can be paid:

· With a credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MAGNA and DINERS CLUB).
· With a check written in the name of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. The check must be drawn from a US bank account.
· With a banking wire transfer. In this case the amount is for US$95 (ninety five American dollars).

Applications are received all year long. Nevertheless, we have two admission processes per year:

· On October 31st the Committee meets to select the class that enters in March of the following year
· On May 31st to select the class that enters in August of the same year
