The Inter-American Program of Applied Macroeconomics offers, since 1990, a studies plan to obtain the Diplomat of “Applied Macroeconomics Specialist”. The Program has counted with the support of the Inter American Development Bank, Central Banks and Treasury Departments in Latin America.

The objective of the Program is to form highly qualified specialists in applied macroeconomics, whom are able to support the missions of several central banks, academic centers, ministries and other public or private institutions related to the economic-financial area.

The applicants must have a professional formation as economists, engineers or degrees related to economics and mathematics. Graduates will be capable of elaborating macroeconomic diagnosis of short and long term, to project fundamental macroeconomics variables, to simulate various internal and external scenarios, to make macroeconomic policies recommendation to their countries of origin, and to analyze these policies in a qualitative and quantitative way.
