Since March 2010, the department has had a study room solely for graduate students. This is an enclosed area with air conditioning, group work tables and a lounge on the first floor. On the second floor is a space designed for individual work and study, with connections for use of PCs. This study room is designed for study and interaction among graduate students.
Students have access to the University Library System (Sistema de Biblioteca de la Universidad) (SIBUC) which holds more than 1,500,000 bibliographic items in printed format. In addition, the library's digital and audiovisual collection holds 18,000 items and an even more extensive list of virtual material, giving students access to a wide variety of journals, books and databases from international suppliers. Among the electronic journals, the university has a subscription to JSTOR which provides undergraduate and graduate students with access to 300 academic journals related to the arts and sciences.
