Professors Klaus Schmidt-Hebbel, Francisco Gallego, Matías Tapia and Jeanne Lafortune, next to the student of economics, Felipe Gonzalez, will present their work at the conference to be held in Colombia.
 From 11 to November 13 in Medellin be held the Fifteenth Annual Meeting of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association ( LACEA). This activity aims to promote greater interaction and dialogue between researchers and practitioners who focus their studies on the economies of Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Economic Institute involves four professors. First, Francisco Gallego, who will present his work The compensation of professional managers in family Firms. In addition, Professor Mathias Tapia will talk about Competition, Incentives, and the Distribution of Investments in Private School Markets. The economist Jeanne Lafortune will present her paper Already But Not Yet Married Paying the Price? The Impact of Granting Rights to Cohabiting Partners Alimony. Finally, the scholar Klaus Schmidt-Hebbel who will participate on three panels at the conference.
For its part, the student Felipe González will present Land Reform and Government Support: Voting Incentives in the Countryside.
For this opportunity to host the 15th Annual LACEA Meeting 2010 are Bank of the Republic of Colombia, EAFIT University, the University of Antioquia and Centro de Pensamiento Social of Proantioquia.
